I am a physicist doing a postdoc in theoretical neuroscience at Columbia University's Center for Theoretical Neuroscience.

Before switching to neuroscience, I received my Ph.D. in theoretical condensed matter physics (mesoscopic physics and quantum transport), in May 2007.
My thesis research was mainly focused on developing a quantum kinetic description of the interaction of fermionic quasiparticles with their collective bosonic slow modes. I worked on problems in disordered quantum dots, as well as in ultracold atomic gases in the so-called BEC-BCS crossover.
