Summer 2006
I spent most of last summer traveling around Spain and Portugal. I lost my
camera about halfway through the trip, so I only have photos from the second
half. Takes forever to load, sorry. Commentary here on
my now-defunct blog.
Cadiz
South Atlantic coast of Spain.
Lisbon
I loved this bridge. Maybe a little too much. But isn't it beautiful?

Cute little town outside of Lisbon. They built houses into the former
aquaduct.

Little Portuguese town with a little forest and a castle and convent
in the forest.

Porto
They make Port there, you know.
Port cellars across the river in Vila Nova de Gaia. They have free tours and
tastings. Yum.
Braga, Portugal
I'm a little obsessive about photographing flowers.
A Coruña
In the northwest corner of Spain, in Galicia. It rains a ton there, so I felt
pretty lucky to be there on a beautiful day. In addition to bridges and
flowers, you can see I'm a little OCD about ocean photos.

They call these big windows galerías; they're all over the
north coast of Spain.

Little fishing village on the north coast of Spain in Asturias. I love
fishing villages.

Santander
North coast of Spain. The people in Santander sucked relative to other parts
of Spain, but the weather there would make me grumpy too. Luckily on my last
day there it finally stopped raining.
