I used to display my .png files using the default viewer in Windows. Then Aleks told me about Irfanview. It's much better.

You might try XnView as well. I moved from Irfanview to XnView - they're both good, but I found that XnView was a bit nicer.
IrfanView does indeed rock, on so many levels.

Irfanview is really good for resizing photos for email. You have options for shrinking down pictures (MB) to an emailable size.
FastStone Image Viewer is also pretty good and it is freeware.

It completely agree with that that the browser of images FastStone is good, and free. Very much I advise.
