Yes, it's a good idea; I wonder whether the idea is to provide visibility for agencies with data but no currently good way to get public attention for their data.
I note that BLS isn't there, and the search engine returns nothing on "CPI", "inflation" or "price". Census Bureau also isn't listed as participating. Of course, these groups have well known web sites of their own.
