  1. Actually, it is easy. Political Scientists are scientists in name only. They are only modelers, no different than a marketer looking for insight in an industry. The only information they provide is "what". Psychologists are scientists because they run experiments to uncover new information on the "how" and "why" things are what they are.

  2. By extension are we to assume atmospheric scientist arn't scientist, but rather modelers?

    I offer political scientist are to psychologist what atmospheric scientist are to physicists.

    It is clearly that both deal in the aggregate, but does that mean both are not sciences?
