I've started schemes like that, but they always break down when I need to peek early one day b/c of some "emergency".
Dan,
Amazingly enough, yes, it's worked. The rule is clear enough that I can follow it. I've gotten around it via phone calls, getting someone to email my assistant, having my colleague check my email, checking my wife's email, posting files on the web, skyping files, using the thumb drive, and probably a few other ways. But never checking my email. And that does make a difference. (For example, if I get around the rule by skyping, it still doesn't give me a way to check my emails and thus avoids me getting sucked up into that vortex.)
Did you stick to your 4PM policy?
