This (from Ben Goldacre) is pretty funny.
As Goldacre and his commenters discuss, the actual research might be (ultimately) useful and increase our scientific understanding, but the interpretation is way over the top.

The other pair of graphs in the paper are more informative, in that they show that not only is the interpretation over the top, it's actually false.
