April 2006: Figueres and Cadaques
One non-Dalí trip photo: This was my favorite falla from
Valencia. Would have been fun to watch them burn it.

Figueres: Dalí Museum
He's buried there:

I don't take a lot of pictures of art because it never works, but this was a
really cool sculpture:

Bust of Freud in a nook up near the ceiling. Why not?

The jewelry photos didn't come out that well because they were in a dark room
and I couldn't use my flash--I'm blaming their blurriness on that whether it
makes sense or not.

The red part was pulsing:

Port Lligat: Dalí House
First thing you see when you walk into the house where Dalí lived:

View from the bedroom window:

L'Angelus, of course:

The cricket cage:

The dining room has this inverting mirror--that's me taking the photo in the
mirror, upside down.

The garden has fine sculpture...:

...the Michelin man...

...and the ubiquitous egg.

Sign from the bathroom. I'm skeptical. If this were true, wouldn't it mean
that poop ends up in the sea and rivers, too? Ick.

View of the house from across the bay

Cadaques: Heaven
Views from my hotel room

The landscape is really varied, with cacti,

trees that probably aren't olive trees,

and the Mediterranean.

I won't go on and on about how beautiful it is. But it really is.
