Undergraduate Summer Internship

The Department of Statistics seeks applications to its undergraduate summer internship program in applied statistics from Columbia College, Engineering School, General Studies, and Barnard College students who will be enrolled as undergraduates in the Fall of 2013.

Interns take part in the Department's consulting service, and undertake mentored research and data analysis projects under the direction of Statistics Department faculty. The project focus for the summer of 2013 is on problems in clinical and genetic epidemiology, and problems in network data analysis.

Interns receive housing for the six week period of the internship, and a stipend. The internship starts May 27th and ends June 28th.

a transcript and a statement of interest. The statement should indicate which project area would be of primary interest, and the applicants experience and coursework in probability and statistics and the applicants programming skills.  Review of applications begins March 6th.
